Mia & Andy

Privacy

This policy describes how data is used on the Mia & Andy website. Games are free and do not request a parent or child account.

Who is responsible for data

Mia & Andy is an independent project operated by an individual.

Data used when accessing the site

Your browser sends technical information needed for the connection, such as an IP address, the requested page address and browser information. The hosting infrastructure may record access and errors for operation and security. Technical records are managed through the hosting service; their retention periods depend on its configuration and applicable security requirements.

Preferences and sessions

The site uses cookies and local storage for sessions, returning to the catalog, language, appearance and sound. These are not child profiles. Game progress is not saved in an account or kept between play sessions. The Cookies and preferences page explains names, durations and deletion options.

Website administration

Administrator access uses authentication and security records. The application stores an identifier derived from an IP address to limit login attempts and a history of administrative changes. These functions do not create accounts for visitors who play.

Messages and children’s information

The Contact page does not collect or send messages. Do not enter or send children’s personal information in connection with playing the games.

Statistics

We collect game-use statistics on our own server: game openings, starts, completions, replays, visible-page playing time, language and an estimated device category. A random identifier distinguishes each attempt; it is not a persistent visitor profile. The statistics table does not store names, IP addresses or the technical session token. The existing technical session validates event submissions. These counts describe attempts, not individual children. Games continue to work if statistics cannot be sent. This is separate from Google Analytics, described below.

Google Analytics

Only if you agree in Cookie settings, we use Google Analytics, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to understand how the site is used: pages and games visited, how long they stay open, the type of device and browser, the approximate country and the page that brought you here. It sets the _ga cookies, which hold a random identifier. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and the data is not used for advertising. Event data is kept for 2 months. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. You can withdraw your agreement at any time from Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page.

Purposes and legal bases

Operating and protecting the site requires technical processing. Security and abuse prevention pursue the legitimate interest of keeping the site functional and secure. Language, appearance and sound preferences support users’ choices. Google Analytics is used only with your consent; browsing alone does not constitute consent.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you may request access, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, portability and object to certain processing. Consent can be withdrawn for the future. You may complain to the competent data protection authority; in Romania, this is ANSPDCP.

Children and updates

Games do not ask for children’s names, email addresses, photographs or recordings. There is no chat or public profile. Adults are encouraged to accompany children. We will update this policy before introducing services that change data processing.
